CIB Reviews Seven Investment Projects Worth $450M Set to Create Around 900 Jobs

The Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) organised a One-Window Service meeting to review and discuss registration applications for seven qualified investment projects (QIPs) worth a total investment capital of approximately USD 450 million, on May 19, 2026.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the CIB, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries, institutions, and provincial administrations.

These seven reviewed QIPs have a total investment capital of approximately USD 450 million and are expected to create around 900 jobs. The targeted investments include:

  • Two projects in the industrial sector: a textile dyeing, and printing factory; the construction of treatment ponds and boilers. 
  • One project in the agro-industrial sector: a cooking oil refinery (rice bran oil, soybean oil, corn oil, and olive oil).
  • Four projects in the infrastructure sector: a 200 MW solar power plant development project; a 100 MW solar power plant development project; a 500 MW / 1000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development project; a 30 MW solar power plant development project.

The seven reviewed QIPs are located in Kampong Speu, Stung Treng, and Pursat provinces.
