Cambodia announces the return of its flagship trade event “Cashew and Pepper Trade Forum”. The forum connects the country's fast-growing cashew and pepper sectors with international buyers, investors and business partners. It is set to strengthen Cambodia’s position as a supplier of premium agricultural products to international markets. The event will take place from November 10–12, 2026, in Phnom Penh.

Jointly hosted by the Royal Government of Cambodia, the European Union, and the Federal Republic of Germany, the Forum is held under the theme “Cambodia to the World”, with a spotlight on trade with Europe. The Forum is expected to welcome around 400 participants from Cambodia, Europe, ASEAN, and beyond, including producers, exporters, buyers, investors, and service providers.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, this year's Forum moves beyond dialogue to business action. It is designed to help businesses expand into new markets, build commercial partnerships, and unlock investment opportunities.

Through a three-day programme combining high-level discussions with practical business engagement, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet potential buyers and investors through structured B2B matchmaking with European and international companies seeking sourcing partners.
  • Gain market insights from international experts and industry leaders on trends, buyer expectations, and opportunities in Europe and beyond.
  • Build export readiness through hands-on workshops on EU market entry, sales, post-harvest handling, and processing.
  • Discover business solutions from leading service providers in processing technology, certification, logistics, packaging, and finance.
  • Experience Cambodia's supply potential through an exclusive field visit to cashew and pepper farms and processing facilities.

“As Cambodia consolidates its standing as a premier global sourcing destination for high-quality cashew, pepper, and agri-food products, the Ministry of Commerce remains resolute in driving the export competitiveness and market diversification of these strategic sectors,” said H.E. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, highlighting the Ministry’s push to expand global market access.

She added:

Building upon the solid foundation of the inaugural Forum, this second edition shifts decisively toward commercial realisation, translating enhanced export readiness, international standards compliance, and supply chain resilience into high value trade and investment partnerships. By fully leveraging our expanding network of Free Trade Agreements and preferential trade arrangements alongside a strategic spotlight on trade with Europe, we are actively integrating Cambodian enterprises into discerning global value chains. With the steadfast partnership of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, we remain committed to fostering an enabling trade environment and positioning Cambodian products as trusted, sustainable, and competitive choices in the international marketplace.

H.E. Igor Driesmans, Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia, said:

The European Union is proud to support Cambodia in strengthening the competitiveness and international visibility of its cashew and pepper sectors. Through initiatives such as this Forum, Team Europe is helping Cambodian businesses connect with European markets, attract investment, and meet the quality and sustainability standards that create long-term opportunities for trade. By bringing together producers, buyers, investors and service providers, this Forum is an important step towards building more resilient value chains and creating lasting value for Cambodian farmers and enterprises.

H.E. Silke Röfer, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cambodia, said:

Germany is proud to partner with Cambodia and the European Union to strengthen Cambodia’s cashew and pepper sectors. This Forum is a reflection of our shared commitment to supporting sustainable value chains, raising quality standards, improving market access, and fostering long-term trade partnerships that benefit both Cambodia and Europe.
