Cambodia International Tourism Down 16.9% in 2025, While Revenue Rose 6.6%

Cambodia welcomed a total of 5.57 million international tourists in 2025, generating approximately USD 3.8 billion in tourism receipts, according to official tourism indicators and statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism on May 8, 2026.
The figures show a 16.9 per cent decrease in the number of foreign visitors compared to the previous year, while tourism receipts (revenue) increased by 6.6 per cent.
Tourism revenue accounted for 9.8 per cent of Cambodia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Meanwhile, the Kingdom recorded 25.16 million domestic tourists, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.7 per cent, while outbound Cambodian tourists declined by 26.4 per cent to 1.36 million.
The tourism sector currently provides direct employment to around 420,000 people, including 6,605 licensed tour guides.
As of 2025, Cambodia had 95,588 rooms for accommodation, 2,301 restaurants, 652 licensed tour operators and travel agencies, 57 tourism resorts, 129 community-based tourism sites, 510 licensed massage parlors and spas, 55 sports tourism locations, and 584 adult entertainment venues nationwide.
