This is a B2B Cambodia Market Update for 8 May 2024, reviewing the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) and global markets.

- The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) Index was up again by 4.31 points, or 1.06 per cent, to 411.94
- Trading Volume was up as well to 222,018 shares changing hands, which is still quite light nonetheless, but at a trading value of around USD $235,000, or 964.1 million Khmer Riel.
- ACLEDA Bank Plc. was up 140 Riel per share, or 1.9 per cent to 7,560 riel per share,
- The largest percent rise for May 8th.CAMGSM Plc. also saw a rise of 30 Riel per share, or 1.3 per cent to 2,380 Riel per share.
- On the other hand, Pestech Cambodia Plc. recorded the largest drop, by 0.9 per cent or 20 riel down to 2,170 riel per share.
- Both the Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh autonomous sport stocks also saw slight price drops.
- KHR Riel to USD weakened slightly to 4,075 with the US dollar index hovering around 105.54
- Brent crude oil futures settled 42 cents, or 0.5 per cent, higher at USD $83.58 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 61 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to USD $78.99 a barrel.
- Gold futures closed 0.1 per cent lower at USD $2,322.3 per ounce.
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 172.13 points, or about 0.4 per cent, to settle at 39,056.39.
- The S&P 500 closed flat, losing just 0.03 points to finish at 5,187.69.
- The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite shed nearly 0.2 per cent to close at 16,302.76.
