The Cambodian government has launched the ‘Digital Ecosystem Architecture Framework for Public Investment Project Management’ under the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to strategically guide the development of digital ecosystems for the effective management of public investment projects.

Published on January 8, 2026, the 47-page framework was developed by the General Department of Digital Economy (GDDE), in line with the Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021–2035, the Pentagonal Strategy–Phase 1, and the Public Investment Management System Reform Strategy, under the Public Financial Management Reform Programme.

The framework will act as a roadmap for building a robust and highly efficient public investment project data management system. The goal is to provide a strategic architectural blueprint for the development of a digital ecosystem that supports the efficient and effective management of public investment projects in Cambodia.

A key aim of the framework is to ensure efficient data flow between units or institutions, consistent and shared data availability, and full interoperability between systems, paving the way for smart governance and sustainable development.
