Green Wonderland & Glow Run 3 Wonderland by Metfone Promotes a Green Lifestyle in Siem Reap
On October 3, 2026, the third GREEN WONDERLAND & GLOW RUN 3 WONDERLAND, organised by Metfone, was held in Siem Reap, combining environmental protection activities, health and fitness promotion, and community engagement.
The programme brought together representatives from the APSARA National Authority, relevant government agencies, Metfone, partners, local communities, and members of the public.
A key highlight of the event was the planting and contribution of 2,000 trees in Siem Reap, jointly carried out by Metfone and relevant authorities. The initiative aims to expand green spaces while encouraging the public, particularly the younger generation, to raise environmental awareness and take a more active role in protecting the environment.
The activity took place at a time when several areas across Cambodia have recently been affected by heavy rainfall and flooding. Against this backdrop, expanding green spaces and encouraging greater community participation carries practical significance, helping foster long-term actions to preserve and protect the living environment.
In addition, GLOW RUN 3 WONDERLAND featured a community running activity designed to encourage people to stay active, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen interaction and connections within the community. By combining environmental initiatives with sports, the programme delivers the message of living greener and healthier in a friendly, engaging, and accessible way.
A Metfone representative said that the programme aims to create a community space where environmental protection, health, and social connection come together through practical activities. Through tree planting and the community run, GREEN WONDERLAND & GLOW RUN 3 WONDERLAND hopes to encourage people, especially young people, to take a more proactive role in protecting the environment, improving their health, and participating in community-focused activities.
With the support and participation of relevant authorities, local government, businesses, and the public, the programme continues to spread the message of shared responsibility in building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Cambodia.
