Regulator Suspends Sale of Prince Group Residential Development Projects
The Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator has suspended the sale of Prince Group's residential development projects and condominiums, following the extradition of company founder, Chen Zhi.
According to an announcement made by the regulator on January 12, 2026, sales of houses and units under the following five co-ownership and residential development projects under Prince Group have been suspended:
- Prince Happiness Plaza or The Pinnacle Residence
- Prince Golden Bay
- Prince Huan Yu
- Prince One Tropica
- The Samrong Village Housing Project (Borey)

Customers who have signed sale-purchase agreements with any one of the aforementioned projects are still required to fulfill their agreement obligations, until transactions are completed.
However, customers that have already fulfilled their responsibilities under a sale-purchase agreement must request arrangements for the transfer of ownership, with coordination from the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction (MLMUPC).
The sales suspension of Prince Group residential projects follows the liquidation of Prince Bank by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC). Morisonkak MKA, the local audit company assigned by the NBC as the official liquidator of Prince Bank, informed depositors and creditors on January 12 that they have 30 days from the date of notice to submit information and claim their funds, after which they can no longer demand compensation.
Prince Group Founder and Chairman, Chen Zhi, was extradited from Cambodia to China on January 6. His arrest and extradition followed months of investigation and cooperation between Cambodian and Chinese law enforcement, according to a statement made by the Cambodian Ministry of Interior.
