Pop Mart Expands Global Supply Network and Adds Production Facilities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Mexico
Chinese toy manufacturer, Pop Mart, announced that it has added new production facilities in Cambodia, Indonesia and Mexico to its global supply network, in order to meet rising international demand for its collectible figures and toys.
Pop Mart does not operate its own factories but works with local manufacturing partners. The company saw breakout success with its viral Labubu character in recent years, recording a net profit jump of nearly 400 per cent in the first half of 2025 alone.
“It's a strategic move to expand and strengthen our supply chain to improve resilience, efficiency and service to our customers,” Pop Mart said of its production facility expansion, in a statement released on January 5, 2026.
Outside China, demand for Pop Mart's blind-box collectibles have skyrocketed in places like Japan, the U.S. and across Southeast Asia. Previously the company's production bases were located in only China and Vietnam.
The company has stated that it plans to scale manufacturing output to 30 million units of plush toys per month, ten times its production capacity in 2024.
Pop Mart's entry in Cambodia is a positive sign for a manufacturing sector that has been seeking to diversify its export products from what has predominantly been garments and footwear. It also further highlights the Kingdom as an attractive manufacturing destination in the ASEAN region.
Cambodia's proximity to existing production bases in Vietnam, and favourable trade agreements with China, likely also factored into Pop Mart's choice to expand its supply network into the Kingdom.
