Panasonic Continues their Commitment to Empower Outstanding Cambodian Students
On January 15, 2026, Panasonic Cambodia awarded scholarships to nine outstanding students from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), Royal University of Fine Arts (RUFA), National Technical Training Institute (NTTI), and Beltie International University of Cambodia, reaffirming its continued commitment to education and human capital development in Cambodia.
Established as part of the broader Panasonic Scholarship Asia initiative, this programme provides financial aid, developmental support, and internship opportunities to outstanding students from local universities and vocational training schools in Cambodia.
Since its inception in 2019, the Panasonic Scholarship has supported numerous Cambodian students in pursuing their academic and professional goals. The programme emphasises both academic excellence and practical experience, offering internships with Panasonic to equip students with valuable skills and knowledge. This holistic approach ensures scholars are well-prepared to become future leaders in their respective fields. Additionally, graduates join a vibrant alumni network that provides networking opportunities with international scholars and access to career development resources such as workshops and seminars.

During the ceremony, Hisakazu Maeda, Chief Representative of Panasonic Cambodia, highlighted Panasonic’s belief that people are the foundation of a sustainable society and reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to supporting education and human capital development in Cambodia. He also expressed appreciation to government partners and educational institutions for their continued collaboration.
The event featured a video message from Doumoto Akiyo, the General Manager of the Corporate Citizenship Department of Panasonic Holdings who congratulated the nine newly elected scholarship students and highlighted the importance of citizenship initiatives under its human development pillar. She mentioned that the Panasonic scholarship Asia programme was established in 1998 to support young students who will contribute to Asia’s future and encouraged the recipients to make the most of the opportunity by joining Panasonic Scholarship alumni network, which connects more than 1,500 scholars across 12 countries and regions.

The keynote address was delivered by Janine Seng, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and ASEAN Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, who expressed her appreciation to Panasonic Cambodia for its continued support of education and youth development through the Panasonic Scholarship Asia Programme.
She noted that the scholarship reflects Panasonic’s strong commitment to nurturing human capital beyond financial assistance and congratulated the scholarship recipients for their academic achievements. Seng encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence and to contribute positively to Cambodia’s future development, while reaffirming the Ministry’s support for partnerships that strengthen higher education in Cambodia.
