MoWA and CWEA Sign MoU to Boost Women’s Economic Empowerment in Cambodia
On March 19, 2026, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) and the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing women’s economic empowerment.
To drive this mission forward, MoWA highlighted three key pillars of the MoU: driving investment and private sector support for women-led businesses, launching joint programmes to enhance skills and market linkages, and strengthening the voice of women entrepreneurs while promoting gender-responsive business policies.
The MoU was signed following a meeting between H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, and a delegation from the CWEA led by the association's President, H.E. Chan Pheary.
During the meeting, the President of CWEA expressed her profound gratitude to the MoWA for their continued guidance, and for providing opportunities to help the association fulfill its mission effectively.
You Bory, Vice President of CWEA, also presented the association’s vision to promote entrepreneurship through five priority initiatives: WE Academy, WE Share, WEE Market Hub, WE Talk, and WE Financial Support Hub.
H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi commended the CWEA's achievements and reaffirmed her support for their ongoing initiatives.
