Metfone and Canadia Bank sign MoU To Advance Comprehensive Cooperation
Metfone and Canadia Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), under which both parties will explore opportunities for cooperation in digital infrastructure, digital solutions, cybersecurity, green energy, and logistics.
The agreement builds on nearly 20 years of cooperation between the two companies. Over the years, Metfone has provided Canadia Bank with enterprise mobile services, fixed Internet, and other telecommunications solutions, generating approximately USD 500,000 in annual revenue. Several entities within the OCIC ecosystem, including Techo International Airport, Koh Pich, and Norea, also use Metfone's services.
Under the MOU, the two parties will explore the use of Metfone's network infrastructure to support connectivity across Canadia Bank's branches, as well as Data Center and Cloud services to facilitate the bank's digital transformation. In the area of digital solutions, both sides will study opportunities to integrate mini-apps across their respective platforms, connect selected services, and deploy Omni-channel SMS solutions to enhance customer engagement.
In cybersecurity, the proposed areas of cooperation include penetration testing, Security Operations Center (SOC) services, DDoS protection, and security assessments. The two parties will also explore solar energy solutions for Canadia Bank's facilities and the potential development of green financial products, with Metfone serving as a technical partner. In addition, Metfone Express will be considered for supporting selected logistics needs of Canadia Bank, including the nationwide delivery of cards, documents, and other materials to customers.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the CEO of Metfone said that, building on their long-standing telecommunications partnership, Metfone and Canadia Bank will expand their cooperation into digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and sustainable development.
“When customers entrust us with a challenge, we must find a better solution every day,” the representative said, adding that both parties will continue to explore and develop solutions tailored to practical needs.
The agreement comes as digital transformation is becoming increasingly important to businesses and financial institutions in Cambodia. Building on nearly two decades of cooperation, the expanded partnership between Metfone and Canadia Bank is expected to strengthen technology adoption, enhance service quality, and open new opportunities for collaboration in clean energy and sustainable development, ultimately better serving the needs of customers and businesses across Cambodia.
