International Economics Olympiad Cambodia 2026 National Selection Rounds Set to Begin March 29.

International Economics Olympiad (IEO), an annual international competition for high school students in economics and finance, is set to begin its national selection rounds for Cambodia on March 29, 2026. Students who pass three rounds of National Selection will have the chance to win a fully funded trip to represent Cambodia at IEO 2026 in Suzhou, China, from July 12–20. 

The main mission of IEO is to further economics and financial literacy education in high schools throughout the world. Cambodia's National Selection will identify the country's top 5 champions to represent the Kingdom at the Global Round in Suzhou in July. 

High school students aged 14–19 year olds can join the competition.

National Selection Timeline

  • Round 1 (March 29): National exam in Phnom Penh.
  • Round 2 (March 30 – April 5): Top 50 students shortlisted from Round 1 will advance to Business Case & Team Presentations.
  • Round 3 (April 26): The Top 50 students from Round 1 will be organised into 10 groups, with each group delivering business case presentations to a panel of expert guest judges. The top 5 scorers will be chosen to form the National Team to represent Cambodia on the international stage.

The deadline to register for IEO Cambodia 2026 National Selection is March 24, 2026.
