GDCE Announces Implementation of Sub-Decree to Reduce or Eliminate Customs Duties for ASEAN Countries and Korea
The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) issued a notification on February 6, 2026, regarding the implementation of Sub-Decree No. 235 (dated December 3, 2025), which concerns the reduction or elimination of customs duties for ASEAN member states and the Republic of Korea.
Sub-Decree No. 235 amends the annex of Sub-Decree No. 210 (dated July 27, 2023), on the implementation of Cambodia’s Tariff Reduction and/or Elimination Programme.
This programme aligns with the ASEAN Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 2022, under the Agreement on Trade in Goods of the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Between ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea (AKFTA).
The GDCE's notice confirmed that the Cambodian government has put Sub-Decree No. 235 into effect to update the previous tariff schedules, ensuring continued compliance with the trade agreements between ASEAN and Korea.
These amendments entered into force from the date the Sub-Decree was signed.
