Digital Adoption Session on “Next-Gen Marketing Innovation: Marketing Strategy in the AI Era for MSMEs” Gathers Over 120 Business Owners to Drive Innovation and Strategic Growth in Cambodia./

In response to rapid technological advancements and in strict alignment with the Cambodian government's "Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021–2035" and the "Pentagonal Strategy–Phase 1", BKD Academy and BizKhmer Digital Media, with the financial support of the Skills Development Fund (SDF), successfully co-organised a Digital Adoption Session on “Marketing Strategy in the AI Era for MSMEs” on July 5, 2026. The event drew the active participation of approximately 120 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and young professionals.

The event was presided over by representatives of both organising institutions: Yorn Sophearith, Founder of BizKhmer Digital Media and BKD Academy, who also served as the lead trainer and author of four newly launched books; and Kuong Vutha, Department Manager of Enterprises Go Digital (EGD) at the Techo Startup Centre. The primary objective of the programme was to accelerate digital transformation and elevate artificial intelligence (AI) literacy for local businesses, effectively closing the "digital divide" and maximising operational efficiency.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, Yorn Sophearith emphasised:

Digital transformation is not merely about purchasing advanced technologies; it is a fundamental shift in mindset and human structure. Technology will not kill your business, but a business owner's hesitation to change is the real risk. Through today's training session, we are not just upskilling them in AI; we are actively helping Cambodian MSMEs rebuild their 'Inner Engine' to remain highly competitive in today's modern market.

Kuong Vutha further added:

MSMEs form the crucial backbone of Cambodia's economy. Supporting this training programme and the Enterprises Go Digital (EGD) programme at this juncture is a step in the right direction. It offers small business owners an invaluable opportunity to acquire both elite knowledge and direct financial backing through Grant Vouchers, allowing them to practically adopt AI technologies and modern digital solutions into their actual business operations.

Beyond a comprehensive presentation regarding the use of AI tools to drive sales and maximise productivity delivered by Chenda Sovisal (Applied AI Research Associate), a defining highlight of the event was the official launching of four business guidebooks authored by Yorn Sophearith:

  1. Business Management in the Era of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  2. Marketing Strategy in the AI Era (Khmer Edition)
  3. Marketing Strategy in the AI Era (English Edition)
  4. Marketing Strategy 101

These four publications have been recognised as a "complete business strategy suite", serving as a strategic advisory co-pilot and capability multiplier for business owners looking to master customer psychology and orchestrate high-impact marketing strategies with optimised resources.

The Digital Adoption Session concluded in a vibrant, collaborative atmosphere, with participants expressing a strong commitment to implementing their newfound AI knowledge and technology to expand their business horizons in the burgeoning digital economy.
