ABA Bank has once again been recognised for its role in shaping Cambodia’s digital economy, securing 10 Leadership Awards at the recent VISA Client Appreciation Event. This latest sweep highlights the bank’s momentum in expanding digital payment infrastructure and its influence on how Cambodians manage their finances.

Presented at the VISA Client Appreciation Event, the awards recognised the contributions of partner banks in expanding VISA's product offerings. ABA received Leadership Awards across the following categories:  

  1. Best Visa Product Launch of the Year 2025
  2. Leadership in Active Net New Merchant Acceptance Location 2025
  3. Leadership in Active Cards Growth Rate 2025
  4. Leadership in Consumer Credit Payment Volume 2025 
  5. Leadership in Consumer Debit Payment Volume 2025 
  6. Leadership in Credit Activation Rate 2025
  7. Leadership in Debit Activation Rate 2025 
  8. Leadership in Transaction Per Active TID 2025 
  9. Leadership in Spend Per Active Card for Visa Debit in Affluent Segment 2025
  10. Leadership in Spend Per Active Card for Visa Credit in Affluent Segment 2025

The awards highlight the bank’s operational scale and its role in evolving Cambodia’s financial infrastructure. Sanzhar Abdullayev, ABA’s Chief Card and E-Payment Officer, noted that the distinction serves as a benchmark for the institution's service quality and its ongoing efforts to maintain customer satisfaction levels.

“These awards underscore our drive to deliver innovative banking solutions and solidify our standing as a key player in Cambodia's card payment ecosystem,” noted Abdullayev.
