This is a B2B Cambodia Market Update for 3 May 2024, reviewing the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) and global markets.

- The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) Index rose by 0.15 points to 412.07 or 0.04 per cent.
- Trading Volume was light at 336,259 shares changing hands at a trading value of around USD $427,000, or 1.73 billion Khmer Riel
- Grand Twins International saw the largest percent gain today, up 60 Riel per share, or 2.65 per cent to 2,320 riel per share
- Unlike its gains yesterday, Mengly J. Quach Education Plc. was down 10 Khmer Riel per share or 0.45 per cent to 2,220 riel per share.
- The only stock which saw a bigger fall was Phnom Penh SEZ Plc., which fell by 0.49 per cent to 2,050 khmer riel per share.
- In other market news, the CSX saw the 21st Profile Listing of a Government Bond by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with a maturity date of 1 year and a issue price of 995,630 Khmer riel per share, and an aggregate amount of 10,000 shares.
- It was also announced in a disclosure report that as of the end of April 2024, ACLEDA Financial Trust, or AFT, bought 10.04 million of ACLEDA BANK’s shares on the Cambodia Securities Exchange.
- Furthermore, The Cambodia Securities Exchange announced in a press release that it has become a member of the Asia-Oceania Stock Exchange Federation, which is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing regional economic integration and fostering sustainable development.
- The KHR Riel to USD exchange rate remained at 4,066, with USD Index trading at 105.202
- Brent Crude Oil is slightly down again by 0.27 per cent to USD $83.91 a barrel
- Gold is slightly up to 2,308.7 US dollars an ounce.
- Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, meanwhile gained 322 points from yesterday’s close.
