  • Moving on now to other business-related news:
    • The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) issued a notice on March 25 informing citizens of an unlicensed and illegal payment platform called PaiPay, otherwise known as PAI, operating via Telegram and available through the mobile app stores. Because this platform lacks official oversight, the NBC warned the public to avoid using it to prevent financial loss. The NBC said it is currently working with authorities to take legal action against the application’s unauthorised activities in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.
    • More than 650,000 former Cambodian migrant workers who returned from Thailand have secured employment, according to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, as the Cambodian government continues to actively promote tens of thousands of job opportunities. The spokesperson for the Ministry provided the update during a visit to former migrant workers employed at a garment factory in Kampong Speu province on March 23.
    • The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an MoU on March 24 to strengthen bilateral economic and trade ties. This landmark agreement establishes a framework for sharing market information and supporting business communities in both nations. Key initiatives include collaborating on trade fairs and workshops, with the Ukrainian side specifically proposing a Joint Online Business Forum to facilitate cross-sector promotion and practical cooperation.
