  • Moving on now to other business-related news,
    • The 3rd Digital Trade Forum and Online Expo was held from September 11–13,  at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh, bringing together government leaders, business executives, entrepreneurs, technology innovators and consumers for an event designed to accelerate the country’s digital trade development and create new opportunities for local enterprises. Organised by the Ministry of Commerce, the forum was held under the theme “Advancing Cambodia’s Digital Trade Toward 2030" and served as a national platform for policy dialogue, business networking, technology showcases and practical market-building activities. The event highlighted Cambodia’s efforts to strengthen its digital economy, support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and help women entrepreneurs and young innovators use e-commerce to reach domestic and international customers. E-commerce revenue in Cambodia is projected to rise to around $1.8 billion US dollars by 2029, from the approximately $1.1 billion US dollars recorded in 2025.
    • From September 14–15, the Ministry of Women's Affairs, supported by the ASEAN Development Fund, is hosting a Regional Forum on advancing gender mainstreaming towards ASEAN 2045 at the Sokha Siem Reap Resort. Presided over by the Cambodian Minister of Women’s Affairs, the event brought together around 100 participants—including representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, cross-sectoral stakeholders, development partners and more—to strengthen collaboration across all ASEAN Community pillars. The forum will produce practical regional recommendations to accelerate the implementation of the ASEAN Gender Mainstreaming Strategic Framework (AGMSF), moving beyond previous institutional priorities to focus on actionable, cross-sectoral solutions.
