DFDL cordially invites you to its 20th anniversary celebration. To mark the milestone, DFDL have organised a month of breakfasts to address many of the current legal and tax trends and important issues.
The first of this series will be held on 4 September. DFDL will examine commercial arbitration in the region as a means of enforcing contracts and resolving commercial disputes and providing a measure of protection and risk management for investors.
Alex Larkin, Senior Adviser at DFDL, and Alastair Henderson, Partner and Head of International Arbitration in Southeast Asia for Herbert Smith Freehills, based in Singapore, will discuss this important and evolving topic, including pros and cons of commercial arbitration, the arbitration process, enforcing arbitration awards in emerging markets, and selecting a foreign jurisdiction as the seat of arbitration. Both speakers offer substantial broad-ranging experience in commercial dispute resolution across the region.
