Wing Bank Writes Off Additional USD 150,000 in Loans for Border Affected Families
Wing Bank has additionally written off loans totaling USD 150,000 for families affected by the recent border conflict, marking the second round of the bank’s loan relief initiative. The beneficiaries are located across Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, and Preah Vihear provinces.
The loan write‑offs were announced to beneficiaries in the presence of local authorities. Under the initiative, some families received a 75 per cent reduction in their loans, while others had their outstanding balances fully written off.
“This is a challenging moment for many communities, and it is essential that we step forward to provide meaningful support,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, Chief Executive Officer of Wing Bank. “We are committed to doing our part to help communities recover and rebuild.”
This latest initiative builds on earlier support efforts. In September last year, Wing Bank wrote off approximately USD 50,000 in loans for families affected by the border situation, bringing the total loan relief provided by the bank to USD 200,000.
Beyond financial relief, Wing Bank, together with the Royal Group of Companies and its subsidiary companies, has delivered extensive humanitarian assistance to affected communities. In August alone, essential aid was distributed to more than 2,000 families across Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Siem Reap provinces.

Further support was extended in December 2025, when relief supplies were provided to displaced families in Koh Kong and Pursat provinces. The assistance included 30 tonnes of rice, 2,000 cases of instant noodles, and 3,000 units each of mosquito nets, blankets, sleeping mats, scarves, and sarongs.
These initiatives were led by Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wing Bank and Chairman & CEO of Royal Group of Companies; and Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan, Vice-Chairwoman of the Royal Group of Companies and President of the Khmer Artists Association.
In addition, Wing Bank employees demonstrated strong collective solidarity by voluntarily contributing 5 per cent of their December salaries to the Foundation for Refugees Assistance. This marked the third round of staff donations since the border situation began in mid‑2025, following earlier contributions in June and August.
Through continued financial relief, humanitarian aid, and employee engagement, Wing Bank reaffirms its commitment to supporting Cambodian communities during times of hardship.
