SERC Delegation Attends ASEAN Taxonomy Board Meeting and "mARs Guide" Workshop in Manila
A delegation from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) recently attended the ASEAN Taxonomy Board (ATB) meeting and the "Mitigation, Adaptation, Resilience and Sustainable Finance (mARs) guide" Workshop in Manila, Philippines, marking a substantial move toward sustainable finance in Cambodia.
H.E. Sou Socheat, Director General of SERC, and Alternate ASEAN Taxonomy Board member representing Cambodia, led the delegation to attend the meeting and workshop on January 23, 2026.
According to a statement published by the SERC on January 24, the purpose of the ATB meeting was to review the work to be done in 2026 regarding the implementation plan for ‘ASEAN Taxonomy Version 4’ (AT-V4), with a primary focus on capacity building and consultations with relevant stakeholders. The primary goal is to enhance the interoperability of the ASEAN Taxonomy (AT) with related taxonomies, in an effective manner.
Additionally, the workshop on the “mARs Guide” covered the mARs implementation plan, which is a joint initiative between ATB and the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum to support the robust and consistent implementation of the assessment of Environmental Objective 2 (EO2) of the AT.
