This is a B2B Cambodia Market Update for 6 June 2024, reviewing the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) and global markets.

- The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) Index was down 1.43 points to 408.90. There isn’t any relief from this recent downtrend in the markets, now down 7 straight sessions.
- Volume on the Main Board was extremely light, with only 78,710 shares changing hands on a total trading value of USD 125K. This is a perfect storm for the bears, very low volume and an absence of buyers.
- Phnom Penh water Supply Company lost 4 per cent down 300 Riel per Share to 7,040 Riel per Share.
- Grand Twins International (Cambodia) lost 3 per cent, down 70 Riel per Share to 2,270 Riel per Share.
- Pestech (Cambodia) rebounded slightly, up 60 Riel per Share or 2.7 per cent to 2,290 Riel per Share.
- On the Growth Board, JS land took a beating today, down 340 Riel per Share or 8 per cent to 3,940 Riel per Share on volume of just 6,180 share.
- In corporate news Grand Twins International (Cambodia) in a Disclosure Statement announced its annual dividend of 30 Riel per Share. Shareholders of record on June 14th are entitled to the dividend which will be paid on June 21st.
- The Ministry of Commerce reported that Cambodia exported products worth $10.18 billion in the first five months of 2024, up 10.8 percent from 9.18 billion dollars over the same period last year. The major goods exported were garments, footwear, travel goods, bicycles, and agricultural. Goods imported to Cambodia were mainly petroleum, raw materials for garments, footwear and travel goods, vehicles, machinery, electronic appliances, and consuming products.
- The Khmer Riel to USD continues to weaken now at 4,111 on a flat U.S. Index of 104.24.
- As of close of business Cambodian time, Oil rebounded to USD 78.62 a barrel, up 21 cents. Gold up USD 3.50 TO USD 2,379 per ounce.
- Overnight the Dow was up 96.04 points to 38,807.33. The big story is NVIDIA, now with a market value of USD 3 trillion joining Microsoft and Apple in this league. The stock is up again premarket, USD 14.52 to USD 1,238.90. Dow Futures are down 23 points, pointing to a softer U.S. open.
